Inmetro has published Public Consultation No. 23, dated August 19, 2025, proposing changes to Ordinance No. 267/2021, which addresses the Technical Quality Regulation (RTQ) and the Conformity Assessment Requirements (RAC) for Commercial Electric Ovens.
Key proposed changes:
• Update of technical standards used in electrical safety testing:
• IEC 60335-1:2016 (Ed. 5.2)
• IEC 60335-2-36:2017 (Ed. 6.0)
• IEC 60335-2-42:2017 (Ed. 5.2)
• IEC 60335-2-102:2017 (Ed. 2.0)
• Modification of the ENCE label, adopting the standardized format in accordance with Ordinance No. 500/2024, introducing the Unified ENCE.
